Join us for a Sustainable Energy Community Open Day

Sustainable Energy West (SEW), together with Naomh Breandan Credit Union, would like to invite the community to a Sustainable Energy Community Open Day & Greenify Loans Launch on Saturday, 12th September, from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Temperance Hall, Loughrea.

This free community event is open to everyone interested in learning more about home energy improvements, SEAI grants and practical ways to make homes, clubs, community groups, businesses and local spaces more energy efficient.

What to Expect on the Day

SEAI-registered contractors will be available to answer questions about home energy upgrade services, including:

• BER assessments
• One Stop Shop home energy upgrades
• Insulation
• Windows and doors
• Heat pumps
• Solar PV
• Other individual home energy upgrade measures

Tea Room Micro-Talks

Drop into the Tea Room for short information sessions taking place at:

11:30am | 12:30pm | 1:30pm

Topics will include:

• You’ve Got This
  SEAI home energy upgrade grants, the Warmer Homes Scheme, electric vehicles and tips for saving energy, with SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities mentor for Galway, Orla Nic Suibhne.
  
  
• The One Stop Shop Experience
  A home energy case study from Ohk Energy.
  
  
• We’re All Going Green
  Local sports clubs, community groups and businesses share their sustainable energy projects.
  
  
• Greenify Your Loan
  Launch of the new Greenify loans from Naomh Breandan Credit Union. Greenify is a nationwide initiative from a group of credit unions, offering lending for home energy upgrades and electric vehicles at a variable interest rate of 5.5%, typical APR 5.6%.
