Job Opening - Member Services Officer
Specified Purpose Contract – Saturday Cover & Summer Work (Entry-Level Role)
Naomh Breandan Credit Union is a progressive, member‑focused financial institution committed to delivering high‑quality services to our growing community. We are now inviting applications for the position of Member Services Officer on a specified‑purpose contract, providing cover throughout the summer months and on Saturdays, as well as supporting ongoing organisational projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain valuable experience within a dynamic and community-oriented Credit Union environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Manager/Operations Manager, the Member Services Officer will play an important role in delivering frontline services to members and supporting operational activities across the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a high‑quality and efficient member service in line with our culture and values
- Handling member transactions, cash processing, reconciliations, and general office duties
- Supporting foreign exchange services and back‑office functions
- Assisting with ongoing organisational projects, including data cleansing (GDPR), sustainability initiatives, lending support, credit control, and business development
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with AML and data protection requirements
- Supporting online and digital services as required
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:

- Display strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills

- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information
- Offer constructive suggestions for improvements
- Possess strong IT skills and be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other software
- Communicate effectively in‑person, by telephone, and online
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, member‑focused team
If required, the successful candidate may be asked to undertake training to meet the Central Bank of Ireland’s “minimum competence” requirements for the credit union sector.
