Notice to Members: Phishing Emails in Circulation
Dear Members
We have become aware of phishing emails which were sent on 16 December 2024 that purport to be from Naomh Breandáin Credit Union. These emails were not sent by the credit union so please disregard and delete these emails and in particular do not click on any links in these emails.
Following a forensic IT investigation, we are satisfied that this was an isolated incident, and the matter has been reported to the relevant authorities.
You should however continue to follow all the usual precautions and be vigilant in respect of any suspicious or unexpected emails or other correspondence. We will never ask you to provide us with password or PIN information over the phone, via SMS or email. Please be alert to any communications appearing to be from Naomh Breandáin Credit Union that ask you to provide this information or to click on suspicious links. Do not disclose any information in response to such unsolicited communications, and do not click into links that might be contained within such communications. If you have any doubt about whether a communication is genuine, please do not respond to the communication. You should instead contact us (using the contact details set out at the end of this notice or on our website) to confirm the authenticity of the communication.
