For National Youth Savings Week (9th - 16th May) Beirín Brendí made a surprise visit to a number of primary schools in our area. He surprised the children at St Itas N.S. at 9am on Wednesday morning when he made a grand entrance to the school yard as the children arrived for school. Beirín Brendí was delighted to see all the children in such good form and posed for a few photos with them.
His next stop was to visit the children at Duniry N.S. Another great welcome by the teachers and children. Beirín Brendí also got his photo taken with the children here and he was sad to have missed some of the children who had gone to play a match. He hopes they won the match for the school, and some day in the future he promises to catch up with them.
Another great welcome at St Josephs N.S. in Woodford. Beirín Brendi arrived to find Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st class, all working hard as all other classes were at choir practice in preparation for the First Hold Communion this week -end. He would like to wish all the First Holy Communion class the best of luck on this very important day and wants you all to enjoy yourselves.
